Article about Ibarra

Ibarra is the capital of Imbabura province. It is about 115 kilometers northeast of Ecuador's capital Quito. It born at the foot of the Imbabura volcano. From Ibarra you must see the Cotacachi volcano and Cayambe, which has a permanent snow cap.
Ibarra is at 2225 meters over sea level. The weather is 18 degrees celsius average. The population of Ibarra is 157.000 aproximately. Many houses in Ibarra are built in the colonial style and yours wall are white, this has given to Ibarra the nickname of white city (ciudad blanca).
The lake Yaguarcocha is once of the most famous places in Ibarra. Yaguarcocha in qechua means lake of blood because there was a war between Incas and Carnquis, them yours bodys launched to the lake. Also this lake has a track racing where It doing many championships. You eat a delicious ice cream made into a paila bronze.
