Panama city and Cuenca

I went to Panama two years ago, when you are there, you can see a lot of things different from our city, for example, Panama city is begger than Cuenca, also they have a harbor and Cuenca hasn´t, about the architecture, Cuenca has the most beautiful churchs in Latin America.

Also the architecture in Cuenca is better, for example in the dowtown you can find old houses with a lot of history, also you can find a better view in Cuenca than Panama.

About the people, I think that the people in Panama are more entusiastic, are very opened, but the people in Cuenca are more shy and lives for the opinion of the other persons.

About the food, I think that Cuenca has the most delicious food, also has more taste than any other.

About the cost, I think Cuenca is one of the most espensives cities in the world, for example the clothes, the food and the make up, are cheaper in Panama than Cuenca, all the things there are like the half of the prince than Cuenca....

But any way with the good and the bad things, for me Cuenca is one of the greatest cities in the world, and I would´t change it for anything....

QUITO CITY

Quito, city of North of Ecuador. It is the capital of Ecuador and of Pichincha Province. The population is around 1.399.814. Here, the palace of Justice can be found.
It is a big city, with many historical monuments, buildings and locations. The centre of the city shows colonial architecture and several churches from that period, including the cathedral of “San Francisco”.

Quito has many places to visit, like malls, parks, stores, restaurants, dancing clubs, bars, and also, museums, concert places, libraries.
An important attraction for both tourists and local inhabitants is the “teleférico”, which is a ferry that hangs in metal cables, and transports people from the base to the summit of a mountain, and viceversa. On top of the mountain, there are food places and they also sell souvenirs. There are horse rides available, but it is really cold over there.
The main problem in Quito is the traffic, and the pollution associated with it, because people have to transport themselves using cars or buses, due to the fact that distances between places are very long.

Comparing Cuenca with Quito.

The climate in Cuenca is the same that Quito, the quantity of churches in Cuenca is the same than Quito; the population in Quito is bigger than Cuenca. Quito is more polluted that Cuenca, peoples in Cuenca in isn’t as friendly as in Quito. In Quito there are more places to visiting that in Cuenca, although both had colonial architecture.

TWO SAME CITIES

OTAVALO

Otavalo is two hours north of Quito. It is at an elevation of 2560 meters above sea level. It has a population of 56.286 hab people. Otavalo is a small town with an impressive Saturday market which serves two purposes: buying food and other necessities for locals and crafts for the tourists.
The Otavalo crafts can be found in almost every city in Ecuador and a wide range of countries around the world. There are two impressive volcanoes visible from Otavalo, Cotacachi (4939m) and Imbabura (4650m) that are the subjects of several legends told by the indigenous people. In the market, one is able to buy many things, ranging from tapestries to jewelry to dolls. During the year there are two big parties that take place in Otavalo, Inti Raymi and Yamor. Otavalo is very rich in culture and the surrounding areas are among the most beautiful in Ecuador.

CUENCA

Cuenca is founded by Spaniards on April 12 of 1557, near the Inca`s settlement of Tomebamba. The original city name is Santa Ana de los Cuatro rios de Cuenca, Cuenca is Located in the province of Azuay, austral zone at 2550 meters above sea level. Cuenca is one of the most beautiful cities of Ecuador. It is located in the south of this country. It has a population of 450000 people. Its known by its cultural and landscape wealth. It has four rivers; Tomebamba, Yanuncay, Tarqui and Machángara. It is known too by its beautiful downtown, La cathedral Vieja (1567) church and the Parque Calderón, San Francisco Church, El Carmen monastery
Also it has many museums, galleries, handicrafts places, and a lot of nature for example near to Cuenca is The National Park of Cajas is very beautiful and interested with many flora and fauna some specie endemics of park

AMSTERDAM VS CUENCA

Stockholm, beautiful city of Europe, is the capital of Sweden. Stockholm has been the political and economic center of Sweden, is the site of the National Swedish Government, the Parlament and th Official Residence of the Swedish Monarch.
Stockholm has a population of 1,949,516 (December 2007). The metropolitan area of Stoc Its strategic location on several islands on the east coast of Sweden at the mouth of Lake Mälaren, by the Stockholm archipelago, has been historically important.
Stockholm is very Known by its Museums, Conservatoryes, Faculties of Economy, medicin and physics.
It has a lot of channels inside the city, I think it seems like Venicia or Amsterdam.
Each one of its neighbohoods has diferent styles, with gothyc churches and romanic houses.
Also it has mountains like Soder or Gamlastan.
We can visit too the Medieval buildings, malls, the fantastic forest of Djurgarden or the comercial avenues located near Stureplan.

Cuenca
Cuenca is one of the most beautiful cities of Ecuador. It is located in the south of this country. It has a population of 450000 people. Its known by its cultural and landscape wealth. It has four rivers; Tomebamba, Yanuncay, Tarqui and Machángara. It is known too by its beautiful downtown, La Inmaculada curch and the Parque Calderón. Also it has many museums, galeries, handicrafts places, and a lot of nature.
You can visit El Barranco where you can see Republican buildings, species of trees like sauce llorón and a lot of birds.
We have too The Cajas National Park where you can see a lot of lagoons like Toreadora and do hiking do camp or see birds or fishing.

Stockholm is lower than Cuenca because the first is at the same level of the see, but Cuenca is about 2530 above see level.

Stockholm is more crowded than Cuenca because the first has near to 2 million of peopple, but Cuenca has 450000 people.

VENICE VS CUENCA

Venice is a city in Europe is richer in history than Cuenca. Cuenca is beautiful city in America. Venice is a city built on an archichipelago is called "City of water" and Cuenca is Called "Atenas of the Ecuador" because In Cuenca born a lots writers, music in the Ecuador.
Venice is in the Adriatic Sea while Cuenca is in the Mountain of Andes.
Venice is bigger than Cuenca but Venice is car free area its transportation on the canals. The canals serve the funtion of road, Venice has Gondola, waterbuses or walk on the bridges in Cuenca the transportation is very diferentent than Venice because have bus, a lot car in the city.
The other diferent is the bridges in Cuenca; Cuenca has only 4 bridges while Venice has 400 bridges. Venice is more touristic city than Cuenca in the world because Venice is more expensive city than Cuenca for life.

BRUGGES AND CUENCA, TWO WORLD HERITAGE'S LIST CITIES

BRUGGES

It is one of the most beautiful European cities. It is located in the norwest of Europe. The historic city centre was added to the Unesco’s World Heritage List (like Cuenca's city). This city is like as medieval city because the spaces and structures that were typical of Bruges in the past have been preserved until now.

The city is called the Venice on North. The building's architecture has very special caracteristics.

Also, you can navigate by the Brugges' channels. And you can see that houses here are very colorful

One of the most beautiful lakes that you can visit is Minnewater (Lake of Love). In summer open air concerts take place here. An if you want some of culture you can visit the Concert Hall, it is one of the more prominent musical centres at Europe.

As you can see Brugges is a very charming city. When you compare Brugges with Cuenca you can see that Brugges is more romantic than Cuenca. Brugges is more ancient than Cuenca.

Both has a similar area. Both are included in the Unesco’s World Heritage List. Both have an historical city centre.

Brugges and Cuenca are famous by their sweet candies. Cuenca with Corpus Christ' sweets and Bruugges with Godiva's sweet chocolates.

HOW EXPEN MY TIME

Well I Work Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
I wake up 6am for stay in my job 7am. I work from 7am to 18pm every day return my home feed my cats and immediately go to my English class, Sometime after my class I go out for the city with any friends.
I sometime sleep 11pm.
Well in my job I do many activities as answer the telephone, inspection the workers, talk with customer, buy oil, tires, …..etc for the trailers or machines, pay salaries, control of material.
In the night I sometime need go out and see others people, change of activities
My weekend is very small for me because I work the Saturday in the morning and in the afternoon I wash my clothes while clean my home and for finish go to the supermarket for buy food for all the week. In the Saturday in the evening I prefer relax in my bedroom watching television with my cats.The Sundays is the familiar day, I wake up early and visit Santa Isabel and I expend the all day with my family.

Sao Paulo article

I'm going to talk about one of the biggest city in the world, what is locatet on South America's heart, it is Sao Paulo, official knowed as Município de São Paulo. This is the capital of Saou Paulo state and it constituted as the largest city of Brasil. As social and economyc characteristics, people calls it as the "city that cannot stop".

The best growth of Sao Paulo, was on XX Century, and the industrial growth became afther the second mundial war.

Its population is about 11 million of people, and talking about the metropoli region it has around 21 million of people, what converts it as the most populated city of Brazil even the world.



Sao Paulo, is a city of vertical growth, what is translated by its skyscraper, becoming as the third city in the world abouth the number of big buildings with around 3000 finished and 200 over construction.

Talking about its culture, we can say that Sao Paulo is an important cultural side of Brazil, being as the original place of artistical and aesthetics movements about its history during the XX century.










Making a comparing between Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, we can concluded on the next ideas:

venice and cuenca

I am going to talk about Venice, it is considered one of the most romantic cities in the world and it is known like city of the canals.
It is conformed by 120 small islands joing together by around 400 bridges.
Meeting Venice you can travel around it in the famous gomdola and also you can use the colectiv ship.
In Venice you can go to Plaza of San Marcos and know San Marco`s Basilica, Tha Clock`s Tawer and The Ducal Palace, another site you can visit is the Bridge of Sighs.
Here you can find a lot of kind of food, specially seafood, but the tradicional food is spaguetty.
Venice is one meter above sea level, It has 272.000 residentes and their superficie is 412 sqk.

COMPARING WITH CUENCA

Both of them have nice people.

Both of them speak differents languaje.

Cuenca is far higher above sea level than Venice.

Cuenca is not as expensive as Venice.

Venice has fewer inhabitans than Cuenca.

The cities that I choses are Buenos Aires and Quito, this two cities are very important for their two countries, since they are the two capitals of countries Buenos Aires is of Argentina and Quito it is of Ecuador.

These two cities have some similarities like is that in the two the political powers of the countries are there. Another similarity is that the two cities were the first cities in being created in their countries.As much in Quito as in Buenos Aires the main financial identities of the countries are there.

But these cities has some only things as they are.

Buenos Aires is considered one of the most important cities worldwide, as it can find many tourist places such as the obelisk, neighborhood of the boca, recoleta, San Telmo, the river of la plata , tiger, the zoo between elsewhere.

In the cities can do something very good both as day is to visit tourist sites, as of nights where people come to eat at restaurants where you serve the best meat in the world whether or not it can be to eat pasta it is also very good.

This country likes very much the soccer so you can find in this city the best soccer team of Argentina that is Boca juniors and other equipment as River. In this city are the best teams in Argentine soccer.

Quito is a city that is located in the Andes so that its climate is generally cold, it is a very cultural city where we can find that many churches were building many years ago with the arrival of the Spaniards to the Ecuador.

This city is divided into three parts, north, south and downtown or historic centre . Part of the historic centre is very nice as can be found in many places are as important as iglesis and its park. In the rest of the city can go to shopping malls and other tourist sites very important.

Cajamarca

Cajamarca is a city of Peru, and it's the capital of the deparment and province of the same name. It's in the sierra north of Peru and it's a city as old as Quito or Cuzco, but it wasn't founded by spaniards how Cuenca, because when they arrived to Cajamarca, they found a big city, but with the passage of time, they were modifying its architecture...


This city has 165.000 habitans, it's smaller than Cuenca, because now Cuenca has 450.000 habitans, but Cuenca and Cajamarca has a historical center and the historical center of Cajamarca is the colonial an baroque style, but in Cuenca the more quantity of houses are the republic style, in Cuenca only there are 4 or 5 houses of colonial style.

Cajamarca is as importan how Cuenca, Quito, Macchupinchu, etc, because in all cities lived the cañari culture and inca culture, and this cultures built a lot of buildings that now tell us our history and our roots; for exmple in Cajamarca was killed Atahualpa and until now in this city there is the room that was filled by gold and silver how rescue of Atahualpa.

Near of the city, there is a hill named Santa Apolonia....

Also, this city is crossed by a river named San Lucas, similari to Cuenca, but Cuenca has 4 rivers and a lot of bridges that crossed the city, but in Cajamarca only there are 6 bridges; and similari to Cuenca, Cajamarca is surrounded by mountain chain of the Andes...

Cajamarca is the capital of the perivian carnival... in this festivities there are dancing, and there are a mix of the traditional with the modern....

Cuenca and Cajamarca in much aspects are very similar, for exmaple both have a lot of beautiful churches with impressive architecture, and both are historical cities that tell us their history, culture, etc.

Athens Greece compare with Cuenca Ecuador

Athens is one of the oldest cities in the world, it’s history spans for more than 3000 years it is the birth place of modern democracy as we know today, it’s located at the southern part of Greece next to the Mediterranean sea, here were born many of the most important and most recognizes philosophers like Plato, Aristotle, Pythagoras, etc. another thing that makes Athens very important is that the Greeks invented de Olympics games in the past, and they were the host city for the modern Olympics games in 1896 and in 2004, the city has been conquered many times during the history, but is in the last century that become an important center of science, history, and economics.
Compare with Cuenca, we know that both cities have many similarities and also big differences, one of the similarities is that Athens is surrounded by mountains, and Cuenca is pretty much the same, that’s why Athens can’t grow as a city because of the mountains and soon Cuenca will have the same problem, because there will be no place to expand the city, another thing that both cities share in common is the air pollution it’s because of the automate park, there are to many vehicles around at the same time making very difficult the flow of traffic, as the cities have similarities they do have differences, let’s say that Athens is next to the ocean, and the weather is most of the year really hot, but Cuenca is up in the mountains then for it’s weather is cold, with a rainy season and a summer season, of course Athens is 8 times bigger than Cuenca and it’s more populated, with many restaurants, hotel, theaters and resorts, it’s economical and political power is a way higher than Cuenca, perhaps the most common between the two is it’s name Athens capital of Greece and Cuenca Athens of Ecuador.

Well I am going to talk somethings about Paris for me I think it is a wonderful city to visit of course Paris is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, with over 30 million foreign visitors per year. Paris the city of love .

It is a city located in the North center of France is the capital and the biggest city of this country. Located beside the river Sena. with a population about 12 millions. Paris has an incredible places to visit like Eiffel Tower. Cathedral of Notre Dame, Arch of victory.Also has nice walks and views like a trip for the Sena river, the palace of Luxenburgo, The pyramid of Lovre.

CUENCA

Cuenca.is a city located of the south of Ecuador, It is the capital of the province of Azuay, his altitude is about 2.581 m Cuenca has with industries of sugar, factories of wool texture, skin and ceramic, and it also produces cereals, potatoes and cheeses. It been founded in 1557. Cuenca conserves his colonial and picturesque aspect, mainly old large houses whose walls exhibit inscriptions with Hispanic proverbs. His population (2005) was about 277.964 habitants.

Every body knows that my city is wonderful because it has an incredible culture, the people is very friendly and warm. Also has a nice view in every where that you stay. The typical food is delicious, Cuenca is surrounded by four rivers that are Tomebamba, Yanuncay, Tarqui and Machangara.

Two Cities, two realities

Shangai is the biggest city in China,
“The most exciting city on the planet” and “The world’s most promising place for companies.” That’s how headlines
in The Washington Post and Forbes have described Shanghai.

Shangai is considerent the city of superlatives.This is The largest satellite cities, the biggest
container harbor, the largest airport hub,
the biggest coal-fired power plant ..., This is considered a city where digital technology has been developed in a manner dizzying.

Yet it is a city with big problems such as crime, contamination, poverty, social indifference. Compared with smaller cities population there are major differences but so have things in common. Cuenca in Ecuador has more green areas per inhabitant than Shanghai, the contamination is lower in Cuenca, but the indices of land are under occupation because they have no skyscrapers, only a few buildings of average height. in Shangai has over has more than 4,000 skyscrapers.

Even so, both cities have in common elements such as water, "Both are crossed by rivers.

Article about Ibarra

Ibarra is the capital of Imbabura province. It is about 115 kilometers northeast of Ecuador's capital Quito. It born at the foot of the Imbabura volcano. From Ibarra you must see the Cotacachi volcano and Cayambe, which has a permanent snow cap.

Ibarra is at 2225 meters over sea level. The weather is 18 degrees celsius average. The population of Ibarra is 157.000 aproximately. Many houses in Ibarra are built in the colonial style and yours wall are white, this has given to Ibarra the nickname of white city (ciudad blanca).

The lake Yaguarcocha is once of the most famous places in Ibarra. Yaguarcocha in qechua means lake of blood because there was a war between Incas and Carnquis, them yours bodys launched to the lake. Also this lake has a track racing where It doing many championships. You eat a delicious ice cream made into a paila bronze.

Well it is a principality. I like monaco because it is a beautiful and expensive city, there are some at
with grand prix of formula uno, rally's montecarlo, montecarlo casino and international festival circus.

The grand prix of formula uno is the more expensive because the ticket cost is very high. the urban circuit is the firts in the world. Luxury and waste. Streets full of shops more expensive in the word.

The rally of montecarlo it is the most difficult because the roads are very small and there are outstanding.
The circus is the most magic, historical it is wonderful a lot of famous people going to live in Monaco like Juan Pablo Montoya.


This city is near Alpes and mediterranean sea. it is borders france. Monaco is same size than central park in new york

NEW YORK VS CUENCA

I am going to write about two nice cities, I chose these cities because I have lived in both of them. New York is a big and very interesting city, it is in the northeastern of the United States, is known for its history as a gateway for immigration to the United States and its status as a financial, cultural, transportation, and manufacturing center. Its population is around 18,976,457 and its area 141,299 km², it is bigger than Cuenca, and it has a lot of people around over the world living in there for that is called the "capital of the world" it is known as "the city that never sleep". Cuenca has abroad people but it has far less than New York. Both of them are beautiful cities but for me the best to live is Cuenca.

mountains and New York doesn't have anyone. The life in Cuenca isn't as expensive as New York and the salaries in New York are better than Cuenca. New York has a lot of buildings than Cuenca and the houses are very different. Cuenca has less traffic than New York.

Finally both of them have a lot of places to visit like museums, parks, bars, churches, etc.

The official language is Portuguse. Catholicism is predominand Religion. The Brazilian population is concentrated along the coastline and a few large urban centers in the interior.

Brazil borders every nation on the South American Country except Ecuador and Chile. Brazil has one of the world's most extensive river systems.

Brazil's Climate has little seasonal variation since most of the country is located within the tropics. The soccer is the most popular sport in this country.

ECUADOR

Ecuador's capital is Quito, which is in the province of Pichincha in the Sierra region. Its largest city is Guayaquil, in the province of Guayas on the Coast. Cotopaxi, which is just south of Quito, features one of the world's highest active volcanoes.

Ecuador has three main geographic regions, plus an insular region in the Pacific Ocean. There is great variety in the climate, largely determined by altitude. The Pacific coastal area has a tropical climate, with a severe rainy season.

The climate in the Andean highlands is temperate and relatively dry; and the Amazon basin on the eastern side of the mountains shares the climate of other rain forest zones.

I think that both of us has many touristics places, where the people can go and enjoy a lot because the poeple in this countries are friendlier.

Bogota, The Capital of Colombia

Bogota is thebiggest city in Colombia. It is the Capital of the country. Bogota is a metropolitan city. It about 2.600 meter high. This city is one of the most higher ctiy in the world. Bogota is included int the Cundinamarca Departament it is about 23.600 squares kilometers.

Bogota is the center on the country. It has about 7 million habitants. It is the main comercial, industrial and cultural center of the Colombia. Bogota is located in aa valley of Oriental montain in the Andes.

The main place in Bogota is the Square Bolivar. This square is the heard of the capital, other place to visit is La Candelaria zone, It has several museums, cultural scenery and art exhibitions. In Bogota you can know a lot of churches as Santa Clara, San Francisco, San Ignacio and the more important The Cathedral, It is located in Square Bolivar. The most importan Museum in Colombia is Gold Museum it contains a testimony to native Indian culture. Other museum is The National Museum. Bogota is the head quarters of the power executive, legislative and judicial ot the Country.

Near Bogota there is a lake called Guatavita. It is very important for the story of Bogota. It used to do ancestral ceremonies.

Bogota is formed for one hand modern, with glistening skyscraper, and for the old helmet or old Bogota, with narrow streets, balconies and old churches.

For entertainment the live night in Bogota is very excited, because Bogota is very turistic. You can visit a lot of place to dance, to sing or to dirnk something.

You can visit other place as Zona Rosa, for shopping fun, gourmet food and entertainment, and also the Planetario, Botanical Garden and Shopping centers, such as Hacienda Santa Barbara, Centro Comercial Andino and Unicentro.

Two cities one heart

I would like to talk about a city that i like too much , in this city i got the best ever price that a man could get... a daughter.

In this city you will find people from many countries, nationalities, skin colors, etc. It's name is Santiago de Chile.

In this city you have many places to visit like the Cerro Santa Lucia, it is a hill in the midtown with a lot of history of ther ancients, you will find canions, and places like garden of the princplaes of that age, and recently it has been restorge and closed to people on nights because as in our city you find people who uses as baths, and etc.








Other place to visit is Cerro San Cristobal, this hill it is quite of bit out of the midtown, there is a zoo, a church with an amphiteather,also It is 22m statue of the Blessed virgn Mary donate from France.





It is a different kinds of transporte: a Railway system, and the principal station is called Estacion Central, also it is a place where you by things cheaper then that you find at the stores in te city, from there go out the differents companies of buses internationals or interegionals.
A complete and modern system of subways that crosses al the city in few hours and now is a conecction with a Transantiago with brand new articuled buses trying to covered all the need of the people.

This is city is more polluted than ours, there is a lot of traffic, the bus system get us nuts, cause runs trying to cover on time.

A big park is there called Parque O'higgins is where the militar parade has taked place this park is about 190 acres, also there holds more of the biggers musical events.



The Palacio de La Moneda is where the president work, it is a historical place since it was destroyed during the military coup and Allend has killed himself during military assault.



But in this city you will find also a lot of life's opportunities, wha i mean is you find every thing that you need or like.
